Knitcircus News & Giveaway!

Time to announce some great news! One of my patterns will be in Knitcircus, which is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, October 12. The editor is very kind and generous, and is allowing me to do a giveaway of a collection of patterns which will be in Knitcircus Magazine, Gifts 2011 Special Issue. So, the winners will not be receiving just one or two patterns, but wonderful collection of them!

At left, I have posted a little clue that shows a portion of my pattern.  Can you guess what this is?

How to enter? Just post in a comment below this blog entry after the magazine goes live, and tell me which are your favorites from the collection. Start the comment like this: Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are ________ and ________. Then you can tell us why, etc., if you want to share. Choose as many patterns to talk about as you’d like :) !

At least one winner will be selected from my blog! The winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday, October 18.  Enter by October 17.

I will be hosting another similar giveaway in my Ravelry group, Tinyknitters. Also, one lucky pattern tester will also be chosen at random to receive the collection.  By the way, if you’d like to test my patterns, please join the Tinyknitters group, and you will have lots of opportunities!

You may enter each giveaway one time, so one for this blog, one on Ravelry, and one if you tested the pattern. Can’t tell you the pattern name yet, but it’s one of the secret testers who will win!

I think you’ll want to get a twitter button to your website. Just bookmarked this site, but I must complete it by hand. Simply my 2 cents.

Really? Pick ONE? Well, first it was Blythe… and then I saw all those lace projects…but I came back time and again to Wiga Hoodie! So WH gets my vote…..love the colors of the shawl in your header BTW

  3. Carmen says:

My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are Stripy Bear, a fun knit, I would knit this for my sister and the Assemblé Lace Shawl & Shawlette is just beautiful, I like the contrast between the delicate edging and the centre.

Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are your Poinsettia Doily (duh!) and Milk Cow. Your doily pattern is just beautiful – in sparkly white it would make a great snowflake. I picture several of them hanging in a window; snowfall without the shoveling! The adorable milk cow would be much loved, I think, by the grandkids (and fitting coming from a Wisconsin gal!).

And I did join the Tinyknitters group – looking forward to more of your designs!

Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite pattern are Pointsetta Doily & Dugdale blanket.
I’ve recently gotten back into doilies! You can never have too many. I proudly display them on my tables and many find their way to new homes but admiring non-knitters.
The blanket caught my eye. Although my sons are bigger then a baby blanket size ~ they still appreciate a good “throw size” while watching TV or playing video games. Hands down. Guess who follows me around when blankets are coming out of the dryer? Now with a puppy to spoil ~ I know I will be making him something soon.
    Congrats again Linda!

Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are Flickering Fire Socks and Dugdale Cardigan and Blanket. The socks because I’m back on a sock kick lately, and the Cardigan/Blanket combo because I’m having a baby in December and I have 2 and 4 year old boys at home who would look great in that sweater. Congrats on the doily pattern! It really is lovely. Rav amchart

I really love your Poinsettia Doily and the Milk Cow. I think both would be lovely manageable gifts to give for the holidays. They are great project size gifts.

Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are the flickering fire socks because I’m really on a sock kick right now and I LOVE cables.
In case anyone cares, my favorite patterns from the Fall 2011 collection are the little braided cables socks….same reason as above. The Dolcetto pattern is calling to me too.

      Erin,

You are the winner of this giveaway! Your name was selected randomly on the random.org website. So, I’ll be sending you an e-mail just checking up on your info. I’ll then forward that to Knitcircus, and they’ll send you a link for your pattern collection.

      Thanks,

      Linda

    • Linda says:

Just an update for you, Erin. I received the link for your pattern collection and e-mailed it to you today. Hope you like the patterns!

  13. Zabbers says:

Knitcircus Giveaway: My favorite patterns from the Gifts 2011 collection are Cranberry Delight because of the beads, Run Around Town because it’s so cute and clever, and Intermittent because I love strong graphics. (Zabbers on Rav)

  14. Beverly says:

I think that Shapely is lovely and I also like the socks! Your doily pattern is adorable too, though. I can see attaching several of them together to make a cheerful holiday table runner – maybe laid on top of a white rectangular table runner. Hmmm…what an interesting idea!

Knit Circus Giveaway: My favorite pattern from the Gifts 2011 collection is Shapely. I like the size of it because it would better fit my 5′ height. I also like that it is mostly solid, providing some warmth instead of being only for show.
